Ninety oak trees as a symbol for ecology and longevity and around eighty other primarily indigenous trees characterize the open space of the settlement constructed in Minergie P-Eco and A-Eco standards. Diverse areas for spending time encourage exchange between generations and cultures and make a significant contribution to communal life in the settlement. Space-forming hedges and large blooming bushes characterize three pocket parks with their various play and sport facilities. The district square with its water-bound surfacing and large pool of water becomes an important meeting place and location for events in the district. There is also a large wooden play landscape with diverse play possibilities as an attraction for children and their families. The minimally dimensioned access paths are designated as encounter zones. The rainwater seeps away for the most part on site.
