Urban quarter Neudorf

A new grove of Honey locust trees (Gleditsia) enfolds the area of Neudorf and unites the fragmented bits into a new coherent urban quarter.

Today, the former industrial area of Cham, Neudorf, is a somewhat fragmented area with a shopping center, heavy thorough traffic and a historic villa with the relicts of a park and some old factory buildings. A new grove of Honey locust trees (Gleditsia) enfolds the area and unites the fragmented bits into a new coherent urban quarter. Ample seating areas, each with a special water feature and a large lime tree mark the main entrances. Within this overall picture, the lively mixture of different uses and individual small spaces remains and adds to the identity of the area.
