Günzburg, with its picturesque old town on the Danube, is planning to restore the historically significant connection between the town and the water with the Bavarian State Garden Show 2029. The leitmotif "Günzburg - City on the Water" forms the framework of our concept.
The concept includes measures such as a sensitive network of paths and the creation of new green spaces such as the Donau Park. Other projects such as the Kappenzipfel residential area, green pearls such as the Hang and Klostergarten gardens and the Hagenweide forest park are integrated into a cultural-historical and urban landscape unit. The State Garden Show is spread over four locations, including the Old Town, the Bürgerpark and the Donau-Au-Park North and South. Visitors can experience the flower halls, themed gardens and cultural offerings via a city shuttle bus or on foot along the Günz river.
