The transformation of the station includes the areas of development, repair, free play, greening and connecting. The goal is an attractive and contemporary station with an identity-creating character and high quality of stay. The transformation takes sustainability aspects into account and includes covered waiting areas, seating, a safe connection to the CU area and an ecological outdoor space.
The station square is made clearer and more orientation-friendly by the transformation "free play". A transparent and permeable station roof with photovoltaic films creates a bright and friendly atmosphere. There are covered waiting areas, an outdoor restaurant and a grove of trees as a meeting place. The mobility offer includes uncovered bicycle parking spaces and a bus loop with green spaces. The settlement climate is improved by green islands, large deciduous trees and evaporative cool vegetation areas. The design takes into account light-colored pavements, rainwater infiltration and the promotion of biodiversity.
Train station
The historic train station will be transformed into an attractive and contemporary space. Covered waiting areas, seating and a safe connection to the CU area will create an appealing and sustainable environment. The plaza will be clearer and friendlier, with a transparent station roof, outdoor dining and a grove of trees. There is also space for bicycles and a bus loop with green areas. The green design helps improve the settlement climate and promotes biodiversity.
